Curbside citations, digitized
A written citation.
Issued, logged, tracked —
in one tap.
Most traffic citations are still written the way they always have been: pen, paper, a carbon copy, one violation at a time, by hand, at the roadside. The officer has already made the call — what's slow is everything after that: writing it up, filing it, and giving the driver a way to pay.
Three pieces, working together: a handheld device for the officer, an e-Citation page for the person who got it, and a dashboard for the office that issued it.

Today
- Illegible handwriting causes disputes later
- No photo evidence attached automatically
- Payment status only known when someone checks manually
- The paper slip itself can be lost, rained on or torn before it's ever logged
- No oversight — no dashboard, no running record of what's been issued or collected
- No device to charge, learn or carry

Tomorrow
- Photographed, logged and printed in one tap
- GPS, timestamp and photo attached to every citation automatically
- Payment status updates itself, visible on a dashboard
- Less room for roadside negotiation: a citation can't be edited once issued, and no cash changes hands on the street
- Officers need to learn a new device
- Depends on hardware being charged and provisioned

- Logs in
A badge number or officer ID before a shift — no shared logins. Every citation traces to a specific person, not "whoever had the device." Face recognition is available as an optional upgrade, not a default.
- Locates
GPS position, time and date, captured automatically the moment a citation starts.
- Chooses
The officer picks the violation from a category list — no free-text to decipher back at the station.
- Captures
A photo of the vehicle and the violation, with flash — so a citation at night is still backed by a legible photo, not a black rectangle.
- Prints
A slip with the citation's details and a QR code, on the spot, linking straight to that citation's own page.
- Runs on
Our own dedicated system, purpose-built for citation issuance — not the terminal manufacturer's own cloud or app store. The hardware's biometric ID capability stays; the account system is ours.

The e-Citation
What the driver sees after scanning the slip, or typing its code into a website: one page, everything on it.
- Shows
The photo, date, time, location, the issuing officer, the violation, and the amount — nothing to call the office and ask about.
- Pays
Through an existing PH payment method — Maya, GCash, or similar — rather than building a new one from scratch. Lantaw takes a small cut of what flows through it.
- Tracks
A status — unpaid, pending, or paid — that updates itself the moment payment clears. No one checks by hand.
- Reminds
Unpaid citations trigger a reminder — email, SMS, or a letter — on a schedule the office sets.

From here
From a yes to tickets on your streets.
What you've seen above is the design. The build is shaped around your office: your violations and fines, your ticket layout, your payment channels, your chain of approval.
- Walk us through today. How your office issues, collects and follows up on citations right now.
- We configure it for your city.Violations, fines, ordinances, ticket layout and payment links, set up the way your office works.
- Pilot with one team.A handful of devices on real streets, with the dashboard live from the first citation.
- Roll out.More teams, once the numbers from the pilot speak for themselves.
It pairs naturally with Lantaw's in-car plate reader, which is already built and tested against real traffic footage — see lantaw.org. Same evidence-first approach, applied to the citations an officer issues on the street.

The idea only gets built in a shape that actually matches how an office issues and collects citations right now — that conversation comes first.
